The starting point
The e-shop was live and technically fine – and nothing happened. No traffic, no orders from search. Exactly what most people experience after having a website built: the site exists, but nobody finds it. Launching a website isn't marketing; it's just day one.
What I did
Two years, four to six hours a day. No shortcut, no trick – just systematic work on content and technical setup:
- ✓Regular original content aimed at what people actually search for – not at the company name
- ✓On-page SEO: H1s, image alt text, URLs, meta titles and descriptions, category structure
- ✓Technical audit of the e-shop and load-speed optimisation
- ✓Off-page: link building, social media, reviews
- ✓Local SEO via Google Business Profile and Maps – results differ from city to city
The result after three months of measurement
2,070 clicks from 35,100 impressions, an average CTR of 5.9% and an average position of 12.6 – the end of page one, the start of page two. For the segment's main keyword: 86 clicks from 748 impressions. Visitors spent an average of 2 minutes 37 seconds on the site, meaning they found what they came for. I didn't spend a single euro on advertising for these numbers.
What to take from this
Two things. First: organic traffic can be built without an ad budget – but it's months of work, not weeks. Second, and more important: if you don't have two years and four hours a day, you need someone who has already walked that road. I walked it myself, and I know where it can be shortened and where it can't.
